Authorization of employment services shall be based upon the services identified and goals established in an IEAP (Individualized Employment Assistance Plan) under provisions of § 21.88. The effective dates for the commencement, or termination of such services will be determined under this section.\n(b) Commencing date. The commencing date authorizing a period of employment services will be the later of:\n(1) The date following completion of the period of rehabilitation to the point of employability; or\n(2) The date of the original IEAP.\n(c) Termination of the authorization of employment services. Authorization for employment services will be terminated the earliest of:\n(1) The last day employment services are provided under the terms of an IEAP when employment services are interrupted, discontinued, or the veteran is rehabilitated;\n(2) The date the authorization is found to be erroneous because of an act of omission or commission by the veteran, or with his or her knowledge;\n(3) The last day of the month in which severance of service connection becomes final;\n(4) The day proceding the date of a fraudulent act;\n(5) The date preceding the commission of a treasonable or subversive act for which the veteran is convicted.","path":["Title 38—Pensions, Bonuses, and Veterans' Relief","CHAPTER I—DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS","PART 21—VETERAN READINESS AND EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION","Subpart A—Veteran Readiness and Employment"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-38.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:25:50Z","sha256":"320afd237f950451a22209046c1cdda732a44f4383364a996a95fcc64931939c","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/38-cfr-21.324","next":"us/38-cfr-21.328"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
