Compliance with the tolerance levels specified below is to be determined by measuring only propiconazole, 1-[[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-propyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl]methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole, in or on the commodity.\nCommodity Parts per million\nTea 1 4.0\n1 There are no United States registrations for use of propiconazole on tea as of December 24, 2015.\n(b) Section 18 emergency exemptions. Time-limited tolerances are established for residues of propiconazole (1-[[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-propyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl] methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole) and its metabolites determined as 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid and expressed as parent compound, in connection with use of the pesticide under section 18 emergency exemptions granted by EPA. The tolerances will expire and are revoked on the dates specified in the following table:\nCommodity Parts per million Expiration/revocation date\nNectarine 2.0 12/31/13\nPeach 2.0 12/31/13\n(c) Tolerances with regional registrations. A tolerance with regional registration, as defined in § 180.1(l), is established for residues of 1-[[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-propyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl]methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole and its metabolites determined as 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid and expressed as parent compound, in or on the following commodities:\nCommodity Parts per million\nCranberry 1.0\nRice, wild, grain 0.5\n(d) Indirect or inadvertent residues. Tolerances are established for the combined residues of the fungicide 1-[[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-propyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl] methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole and its metabolites determined as 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid and expressed as parent compound in or on the following commodities when present therein as a result of application of propiconazole to growing crops in paragraphs (a) and (c) of this section:\nCommodity Parts per million\nAlfalfa, forage 0.1\nAlfalfa, hay 0.1","path":["Title 40—Protection of Environment","CHAPTER I—ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY","SUBCHAPTER E—PESTICIDE PROGRAMS","PART 180—TOLERANCES AND EXEMPTIONS FOR PESTICIDE CHEMICAL RESIDUES IN FOOD","Subpart C—Specific Tolerances"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-40.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:04Z","sha256":"27f9e9c18b1c444ee5f0570794deda72e59b7dd7f36b5a153a967e40e374b0be","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/40-cfr-180.433","next":"us/40-cfr-180.435"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
