(1) The chemical substance identified as tetradecane, chloro derivs. (PMNs P-12-283 and P-14-683, CAS No. 198840-65-2) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in paragraph (a)(2) of this section.\n(2) The significant new uses are:\n(i) Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities. Requirements as specified in § 721.80(k) (flame retardants and plasticizers in polyvinyl chloride, polymers, and rubber; flame retardant, plasticizer, and lubricant in adhesives, caulk, sealants, and coatings; additive in lubricants including metalworking fluids; and flame retardant and waterproofer in textiles). It is a significant new use to manufacture the chemical substance more than 5 years.\n(ii) [Reserved]\n(b) Specific requirements. The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph (b).\n(1) Recordkeeping. Recordkeeping requirements as specified in § 721.125(a) through (c) and (i) are applicable to manufacturers and processors of this substance.\n(2) Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.
