{"data":{"id":"us/42-cfr-52h.11","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"42 CFR 52h.11","heading":"h.11 What are the review criteria for contract projects and proposals?","body":"(a) In carrying out its review of a project concept under § 52h.10(a) or § 52h.10(b), the peer review group shall take into account, among other pertinent factors:\n(1) The significance from a scientific or technical standpoint of the goals of the proposed research or development activity;\n(2) The availability of the technology and other resources necessary to achieve those goals;\n(3) The extent to which there are identified, practical uses for the anticipated results of the activity; and\n(4) Where the review includes the project approach, the adequacy of the methodology to be utilized in carrying out the activity.\n(b) In carrying out its review of unsolicited contract proposals under § 52h.9, the peer review group shall take into account, among other pertinent factors, the criteria in § 52h.8 which are relevant to the particular proposals.\n(c) In carrying out its review of solicited proposals under § 52h.10(a) or (b), the peer review group shall evaluate each proposal in accordance with the criteria set forth in the request for proposals.","path":["Title 42—Public Health","CHAPTER I—PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES","SUBCHAPTER D—GRANTS","PART 52h—SCIENTIFIC PEER REVIEW OF RESEARCH GRANT APPLICATIONS AND RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT PROJECTS"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-42.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:11Z","sha256":"c1ef018ac4360bc5b37434f2039213914df0ded72f43d2c24f90dd9450283787","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/42-cfr-52h.10","next":"us/42-cfr-52h.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
