{"data":{"id":"us/43-cfr-3281.2","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"43 CFR 3281.2","heading":"What documents must the unit operator submit to BLM before we may designate a unit area?","body":"(a) The unit operator must submit the following documents before BLM may designate a proposed unit area:\n(1) A report detailing the geologic information and interpretation that indicates, to the satisfaction of BLM, the proposed area is geologically appropriate for unitization;\n(2) A map showing:\n(i) The proposed unit area;\n(ii) All leases (including Federal, state, or private) and tracts (unleased privately owned land or mineral rights);\n(iii) The Federal lease number and lessee; and\n(iv) An individual unit tract number;\n(3) A list which includes the following information as to each Federal, state, and private lease, and tracts of unleased land, to be included in the unit:\n(i) The lease number;\n(ii) The legal land description of each lease and tract;\n(iii) The acreage of each lease or tract;\n(iv) The lessor and lessee of each lease;\n(v) The mineral rights owner of any unleased tract; and\n(vi) The total number of acres:\n(A) In the unit area;\n(B) Under Federal administration; and\n(C) In private or other (such as state) ownership; and\n(4) Any other information BLM may require.\n(b) Before submitting any documents, ask BLM how many copies are required.","path":["Title 43—Public Lands: Interior","Subtitle B—Regulations Relating to Public Lands","CHAPTER II—BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR","SUBCHAPTER C—MINERALS MANAGEMENT (3000)","PART 3280—GEOTHERMAL RESOURCES UNIT AGREEMENTS","Subpart 3281—Application, Review, and Approval of a Unit Agreement"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-43.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:15Z","sha256":"ced56bc388837bbce9c115e07c89360f50a18bd626e3126aa85df2ce852aeb82","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/43-cfr-3281.1","next":"us/43-cfr-3281.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
