{"data":{"id":"us/45-cfr-2518.110","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"45 CFR 2518.110","heading":"What are the functions of a Service-Learning Clearinghouse?","body":"An organization that receives assistance from funds appropriated to carry out the activities listed under parts 2531 through 2534 of this chapter may—\n(a) Assist entities carrying out State or local service-learning programs with needs assessments and planning;\n(b) Conduct research and evaluations concerning service-learning;\n(c)(1) Provide leadership development and training to State and local service-learning program administrators, supervisors, project sponsors, and participants; and\n(2) Provide training to persons who can provide the leadership development and training described in paragraph (c)(1) of this section;\n(d) Facilitate communication among entities carrying out service-learning programs and participants in such programs;\n(e) Provide information, curriculum materials, and technical assistance relating to planning and operation of service-learning programs, to States and local entities eligible to receive financial assistance under this title;\n(f) Provide information regarding methods to make service-learning programs accessible to individuals with disabilities;\n(g)(1) Gather and disseminate information on successful service-learning programs, components of such successful programs, innovative youth skills curricula related to service-learning, and service-learning projects; and\n(2) Coordinate the activities of the Clearinghouse with appropriate entities to avoid duplication of effort;\n(h) Make recommendations to State and local entities on quality controls to improve the quality of service-learning programs;\n(i) Assist organizations in recruiting, screening, and placing service-learning coordinators; and\n(j) Carry out such other activities as the Chief Executive Officer determines to be appropriate.","path":["Title 45—Public Welfare","Subtitle B—Regulations Relating to Public Welfare","CHAPTER XXV—CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE","PART 2518—SERVICE-LEARNING CLEARINGHOUSE"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-45.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:21Z","sha256":"991ee66b0dffb426ef70d061dc36b9893f6eff56efb8693f583f6b99941f015d","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/45-cfr-2518.100","next":"us/45-cfr-2519.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
