{"data":{"id":"us/45-cfr-98.10","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"45 CFR 98.10","heading":"Lead Agency responsibilities.","body":"The Lead Agency (which may be an appropriate collaborative agency), or a joint interagency office, as designated or established by the Governor of the State (or by the appropriate Tribal leader or applicant), shall:\n(a) Administer the CCDF program, directly or through other governmental or non-governmental agencies, in accordance with § 98.11;\n(b) Apply for funding under this part, pursuant to § 98.13;\n(c) Consult with appropriate representatives of local government in developing a Plan to be submitted to the Secretary pursuant to § 98.14(b);\n(d) Hold at least one public hearing in accordance with § 98.14(c);\n(e) Coordinate CCDF services pursuant to § 98.12; and\n(f) Consult, collaborate, and coordinate in the development of the State Plan in a timely manner with Indian Tribes or tribal organizations in the State (at the option of the Tribe or tribal organization).","path":["Title 45—Public Welfare","SUBTITLE A—Department of Health and Human Services","SUBCHAPTER A—GENERAL ADMINISTRATION","PART 98—CHILD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT FUND","Subpart B—General Application Procedures"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-45.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:21Z","sha256":"7a914c4eb802c8e8f7e693d11b41fd196c4907879944403740e0dad0552c7101","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/45-cfr-98.3","next":"us/45-cfr-98.11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
