Each report must include:\n(1) Vessel name;\n(2) Other vessel identifier, such as an official number or State number;\n(3) Name and business address of owner or managing operator;\n(4) Date and location of the survey;\n(5) Date the report of the survey was issued, if different than the date the survey was concluded;\n(6) Name of the surveyors;\n(7) Name and business address of the TPO the surveyors represent, if applicable;\n(8) Signatures of surveyors;\n(9) A descriptive list of the items examined or witnessed during each survey;\n(10) A descriptive list of all non-conformities identified during each survey, including those that were corrected during the course of the survey;\n(11) A descriptive list of:\n(i) All non-conformities remaining at the end of each survey;\n(ii) The required corrective actions;\n(iii) The latest date of required corrective action; and\n(iv) A description of the means by which the corrective actions were verified;\n(12) A descriptive list of items that need to be repaired or replaced before the vessel continues service; and\n(13) A statement that the vessel complies with the applicable requirements of this subchapter and is fit for its route and service, subject to the correction of non-conformities.\n(b) The owner or managing operator must provide objective evidence of compliance with this part in accordance with the TSMS applicable to the vessel.","path":["Title 46—Shipping","CHAPTER I—COAST GUARD, DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY","SUBCHAPTER M—TOWING VESSELS","PART 137—VESSEL COMPLIANCE","Subpart A—General"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-46.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:22Z","sha256":"7b6689aac8909c3f6b6936db65f8d99bc921a65cb08dd573955e7515fda72268","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/46-cfr-137.130","next":"us/46-cfr-137.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
