{"data":{"id":"us/46-cfr-160.040-2","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"46 CFR 160.040-2","heading":"-2 Type and size.","body":"(a) Impulse-projected rocket type line-throwing appliances required by this subpart shall be of a type consisting essentially of a pistol or launcher, which can be hand held and hand directed, or suitably supported and hand directed.\n(b) Impulse-projected rocket type line-throwing appliances shall weigh (complete with one rocket, bridle, and leader) not to exceed 16 kg (35 lb.) and shall be of a size easily manageable by one person.\n(c) Alternate arrangements which meet the performance requirements of this subpart will be given special consideration.
