{"data":{"id":"us/47-cfr-22.221","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"47 CFR 22.221","heading":"Eligibility for partitioned licenses.","body":"If partitioned licenses are being applied for in conjunction with a license(s) to be awarded through competitive bidding procedures—\n(a) The applicable procedures for filing short-form applications and for submitting upfront payments and down payments contained in this chapter shall be followed by the applicant, who must disclose as part of its short-form application all parties to agreement(s) with or among other entities to partition the license pursuant to this section, if won at auction (see 47 CFR 1.2105(a)(2)(viii));\n(b) Each party to an agreement to partition the authorization must file a long-form application (FCC Form 601) for its respective, mutually agreed-upon geographic area together with the application for the remainder of the MEA or EA filed by the auction winner.\n(c) If the partitioned authorization is being applied for as a partial assignment of the MEA or EA authorization following grant of the initial authorization, request for authorization for partial assignment of an authorization shall be made pursuant to § 1.948 of this part.","path":["Title 47—Telecommunication","CHAPTER I—FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION","SUBCHAPTER B—COMMON CARRIER SERVICES","PART 22—PUBLIC MOBILE SERVICES","Subpart B—Licensing Requirements and Procedures"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-47.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:26:28Z","sha256":"442e4ffb31c3a93041cba922a855491fe4a28b60edaf4e2827c1cd9a84685f80","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/47-cfr-22.217","next":"us/47-cfr-22.223"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
