{"data":{"id":"us/5-cfr-470.307","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"5 CFR 470.307","heading":"Notification responsibilities.","body":"(a) 5 U.S.C. 4703 requires notification of tentatively approved demonstration project plans to Congress, employees, labor organizations, and the public.\n(b) OPM shall:\n(1) Notify each House of the Congress 180 days in advance of the beginning of each project; and\n(2) Publish each tentatively approved project plan as a notice in the Federal Register.\n(c) Each agency having a tentatively approved project plan shall:\n(1) Notify and make available copies of the project plan to:\n(i) All employees who may be interested in or affected by the activities of the demonstration project; and\n(ii) All labor organizations accorded exclusive recognition for bargaining units which include employees in or affected by the project plan.\n(2) Certify to OPM in writing when and how the requirements of § 470.307(c)(1) were carried out and document the manner in which it insured that all affected employees were notified.\n(3) Observe the consultation and negotiation requirements of 5 U.S.C. 4703 (f) and (g).","path":["Title 5—Administrative Personnel","CHAPTER I—OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT","SUBCHAPTER B—CIVIL SERVICE REGULATIONS","PART 470—PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT RESEARCH PROGRAMS AND DEMONSTRATIONS PROJECTS","Subpart C—Regulatory Requirements Pertaining to Demonstration Projects"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-5.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:23:53Z","sha256":"a08dfa24286d7fb19a6b32969a3710fb428a2591a7a0561d39538a41d7bdc3d9","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/5-cfr-470.305","next":"us/5-cfr-470.309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
