{"data":{"id":"us/5-cfr-534.202","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"5 CFR 534.202","heading":"Coverage.","body":"In addition to the student-employees specified in 5 U.S.C. 5351(2)(A), the following student-employees are covered under this program, provided they are assigned or attached principally for training purposes to a hospital, clinic, or medical or dental laboratory operated by an agency:\n(1) Any student-employee whom an agency finds is properly covered under this program, provided that the student-employee is a registered student at an accredited academic institution and that the assignment or attachment for training purposes to the hospital, clinic, or medical or dental laboratory is a part of a medical or dental training program accredited by an appropriate accrediting body;\n(2) Any student-employee whom an agency finds is properly covered under this program, provided that the student-employee, during the period of assignment or attachment to the hospital, clinic, or medical or dental laboratory, will receive experience or training that is required to obtain a certificate or license in a medical or dental field; or\n(3) Any student-employee not otherwise covered under this program whom the Office of Personnel Management approves for coverage as a student-employee under this program.","path":["Title 5—Administrative Personnel","CHAPTER I—OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT","SUBCHAPTER B—CIVIL SERVICE REGULATIONS","PART 534—PAY UNDER OTHER SYSTEMS","Subpart B—Student-Employees in Government Hospitals"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-5.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:23:53Z","sha256":"ad9abd56a415554f46527634502ed5a18a58afe5b166f300edb041bec5d36769","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/5-cfr-534.201","next":"us/5-cfr-534.203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
