{"data":{"id":"us/7-cfr-1221.104","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"7 CFR 1221.104","heading":"Term of office.","body":"(a) The term of office for the representatives of the Board shall be three years, except for the initial term, pursuant to paragraph (c) of this section.\n(b) Representatives may serve a maximum of 2 consecutive 3-year terms.\n(c) When the Board is first established, the Secretary shall establish staggered terms as follows:\n(1) Largest Production State—2 representatives shall serve a 2-year term, 1 representative shall serve a 3-year term, and 2 representatives shall serve a 4-year term.\n(2) Second Largest Production State—1 representative shall serve a 2-year term, 1 representative shall serve a 3-year term, and 1 representative shall serve a 4-year term.\n(3) Third Largest Production State—The representative shall serve a 3-year term.\n(4) At-large national—1 representative shall serve a 2-year term, 2 representatives shall serve a 3-year term, and 1 representative shall serve a 4-year term.\n(5) States with multiple representatives shall have their staggered terms assigned by the Secretary.
