{"data":{"id":"us/9-cfr-590.50","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"9 CFR 590.50","heading":"Egg temperature and labeling requirements.","body":"(a) All shell eggs packed into containers destined for the ultimate consumer must be stored and transported under refrigeration at an ambient temperature of no greater than 45 °F (7.2 °C) and must bear safe handling instructions in accordance with 21 CFR 101.17(h).\n(b) Any producer-packer with an annual egg production from a flock of 3,000 or fewer layers is exempt from the temperature and labeling requirements of this section.
