Ala. Code § 32-12A-11: Registration Refunds.

The secretary may issue a refund of a registration, not including any issuance fees paid, if either of the following apply:
(1) The vehicle was registered incorrectly.
(2) The vehicle was registered by the dealer and by the customer.
