Ala. Code § 45-34-100.01: Additional Expense Allowance; Salary.

(a) The members of the Henry County Board of Education shall be entitled to an additional expense allowance of two hundred dollars ($200) per month in addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, and salary provided by law and shall be paid from the county school system funds.

(b) Beginning when the next term of office of a board member commences after September 1, 2023, the additional expense allowance provided for in subsection (a) shall be converted to a salary for all members of the board.
