Ala. Code § 45-41-130.01: Bond.

Before commencing his or her duties, the county engineer shall enter into a bond for faithful performance of his or her duties in such amount and with such sureties as shall be approved by the commission. In carrying out his or her duties, he or she shall report to the county commission or its designee.
