Ala. Code § 45-48-70.58: Reimbursement for Costs of Meals.

The commissioners may be reimbursed for the actual costs of meals incurred in attending meetings held for the purpose of discussing or transacting county affairs and the commission may pay for the actual cost of meals of others attending meetings at the request of the commission for the purpose of discussing or transacting county affairs. Provided however, the expenditures authorized herein shall be made pursuant to a budget adopted as hereinbefore provided.
