Ala. Code § 45-49-231.03: Relation to State Provisions.

Mobile County shall be exempt from any law passed by the 1981 Regular Session of the Alabama Legislature increasing the salaries of state troopers or any other employee of the Alabama Department of Public Safety. No funds shall be paid from the county treasury to deputy sheriffs or any other employees of the Mobile County Sheriff for any salary increases required by any act of the 1981 Alabama Legislature increasing the salaries of state troopers or any other employees of the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
