Ala. Code § 45-55-240.01: Compensation and Benefits.

The salaries and fringe benefits of the Revenue Commissioner of Pike County and employees of the office of the revenue commissioner shall be financed on a pro rata share basis from the net proceeds of state, county, and municipal ad valorem taxes collected in the county. All proceeds from the distribution shall be used to offset salaries and benefits in the revenue commissioner’s office as approved by the Pike County Commission.
