Ala. Code § 45-57A-62.01: Definitions.

(a) As used in this part, unless the context requires a different meaning, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

(1) BOARD. The board of trustees of the fund.

(2) CITY. The municipality of Phenix City.

(3) FIREFIGHTER. Any regular full-time member of the fire department of the city.

(4) FUND. The Fireman’s and Policeman’s Pension and Relief Fund created by this part.

(5) PERSON. Includes association, corporation, firm, or partnership.

(6) POLICEMAN. Any regular full-time member of the police department of the city.

(b) The singular number includes the plural, and the plural the singular. The masculine gender includes the feminine and the neuter.
