Ala. Code § 45-58-71.01: Expense Allowance — Commission Members.

Each member of the County Commission of Shelby County shall be entitled to receive an expense allowance in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) per month to be paid out of the county general fund. This expense allowance shall be in addition to any and all other compensation and salary provided for by law.
