Ala. Code § 45-58A-111.14: Preservation of Rights.

On October 1, 2024, the following shall be preserved:

(1) A serving board member shall serve to the completion of the term for which the board member was elected or appointed.

(2) Any employee holding a regular position shall continue with the status of a regular employee in the classified service as provided in Section 45–58A–111.05.

(3) Sick or personal leave already accrued by an employee shall not be reduced.

(4) Any compensation plan previously adopted by the city shall remain in effect until it is replaced or amended as provided in Section 45–58A–111.09.
