Ark. Code Ann. § 14-14-1305: Commission

(a) County Officers. All county officers shall be commissioned by the Governor in a manner prescribed by law. (b) (1) Quorum Court District and Township Officers. All township and county quorum court district officers, except constables, shall be commissioned by the Governor in a manner prescribed by law. (2) Constables shall be furnished with a certificate of election by the county court on which the constable's official oath shall be endorsed. Acts 1977, No. 742, § 44; 1979, No. 413, § 9; A.S.A. 1947, § 17-3604.
