Ark. Code Ann. § 16-93-1904: Post-release supervision - Required recommendations

(a) Before the Post-Prison Transfer Board may grant a transfer to post-release supervision based on accrual and application of earned release credits, the board shall: (1) Notify and solicit the written recommendations of the committing court, the prosecuting attorney, and the county sheriff of the county from which the inmate was committed as provided in § 16-93-1810 ; and (2) Notify the victim or the next of kin as provided in § 16-93-1810 . (b) An inmate who is ineligible to accrue earned release credits may be transferred to post-release supervision only if: (1) Sentenced by the sentencing court to a period of post-release supervision to follow the inmate's term of imprisonment; and (2) The inmate has served the entire sentence of imprisonment before transfer to post-release supervision.
