Ark. Code Ann. § 23-63-2003: Definitions

As used in this subchapter: (1) "Corporate governance annual disclosure" means a confidential report filed by an insurer or insurance group made according to this subchapter; (2) "Insurance group" means those insurers and affiliates included within an insurance holding company system as defined in the Insurance Holding Company Regulatory Act, § 23-63-501 et seq.; (3) (A) "Insurer" means a person engaged as indemnitor, surety, or contractor in the business of entering into contracts of insurance. (B) "Insurer" does not include agencies, authorities, or instrumentalities of the United States, its possessions and territories, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, or a state or political subdivision of a state; and (4) "Person" includes an individual, insurer, company, association, organization, Lloyd's, society, reciprocal or inter-insurance exchange, partnership, syndicate, business trust, corporation, and every legal entity. As used in this subchapter:
