Ark. Code Ann. § 25-43-1304: State Parks Division

(a) There is created a State Parks Division within the Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism. (b) The Secretary of the Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism may delegate any duties and responsibilities to the State Parks Division. (c) The Secretary of the Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism may employ a Director of the State Parks Division. (d) (1) Before July 1 of each fiscal year, the division shall request that the Legislative Council or, if the General Assembly is in session, the Joint Budget Committee, review the division's plan for the upcoming year regarding the amounts to be disbursed for each state park or other entity from the funds appropriated to the division for state operations. (2) The division's request under subdivision (d)(1) of this section shall also list: (A) The amounts to be distributed for each entity for the upcoming fiscal year compared to both the current fiscal year's anticipated expenditures and the previous fiscal year's actual expenditures; and (B) Any additional detail as may be requested by the Legislative Council or, if the General Assembly is in session, the Joint Budget Committee. (e) The division shall prepare a semiannual status report for the Legislative Council or, if the General Assembly is in session, the Joint Budget Committee, that compares the six-month and fiscal year actual expenditures to intended disbursements that the Legislative Council or, if the General Assembly was in session, the Joint Budget Committee, reviewed under subsection (d) of this section.
