C.R.S. § 17-26-101.5: Jail operated by city.

A municipal jail, as described in section 31-15-401, operated by a city government must comply with all provisions in this article 26 and must be maintained at the expense of the city. A city may accept and expend funds to maintain a municipal jail. Nothing in this article 26 compels the erection of a jail in a city.
