C.R.S. § 26-1-144: Continuous quality improvement.

(1) On or before September 1, 2026, the department of human services, in collaboration with the department of health care policy and financing and department of early childhood, and in consultation with the county departments, shall establish a continuous quality improvement process to review the metrics reported through county-level and statewide performance data, error rates, and other errors and inconsistencies to identify root causes and implement strategies to improve accuracy and consistency in eligibility determinations.

(2) On or before January 1, 2027, and on or before every January 1 thereafter, the department, in collaboration with the department of health care policy and financing and department of early childhood, shall submit a report to the joint budget committee providing an update on the continuous quality improvement process and data on the impact of the continuous quality improvement process on the metrics included in the process.
