Conn. Gen. Stat. § 17a-562: (Formerly Sec. 17-240). Whiting Forensic Hospital under control and supervision of Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

The Whiting Forensic Hospital shall be within the general administrative control and supervision of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The director, with the approval of the commissioner and the board, shall establish such divisions, which may be located geographically separate from the hospital, as may be deemed proper for the administrative control and the efficient operation thereof, one of which divisions shall be the diagnostic unit.
