- CHAPTER 378. NURSING
Any person who holds a certificate from a nursing program approved by said board with the consent of the Commissioner of Public Health, which program consists of not less than twelve months' instruction in the care of the sick as prescribed by said board, or its equivalent as determined by said board, shall be eligible for examination for licensure as a licensed practical nurse. Such examination shall include such subjects as the department, with the advice and consent of the board, determines. No fee shall be required for such examination. If such applicant passes such examination said department shall issue to such applicant a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in this state.
