D.C. Code § 38-2991: Definitions.

(a)

For the purposes of this chapter:

(1)

"DCPS" means the District of Columbia Public Schools.

(2)

"DESAP" means the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Project, the public and private partnership that supports the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, which includes DCPS, the Ellington Fund, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and George Washington University.

(3)

"Ellington Fund" means the 501(c)(3) organization established in 1979 to serve as the charitable arm of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
