D.C. Code § 38-861: Definitions.

(a)

For the purposes of this this chapter, the term:

(1)

"HQIM" means high-quality instructional materials, which are comprehensive, rigorous, and evidence-based curricular materials that are aligned with the District of Columbia content standards.

(2)

"LEA" means local education agency, which is the District of Columbia Public Schools system, any individual public charter school, or any group of public charter schools operating under a single charter.

(3)

"OSSE" means the Office of the State Superintendent of Education.

(4)

"School" means a District of Columbia Public Schools school or public charter school in the District of Columbia serving students in grades kindergarten through 12.
