D.C. Code § 8-523: Enforcement.

(a)

The Mayor may impose civil fines and penalties as sanctions for violations of the provisions of this chapter or any rules issued pursuant to this chapter, pursuant to Chapter 18 of Title 2. Enforcement and adjudication of an infraction shall be pursuant to Chapter 18 of Title 2.

(b)

In addition to the enforcement authority provided in subsection (a) of this section, the Attorney General for the District of Columbia may seek injunctive relief or other appropriate remedy in any court of competent jurisdiction to enforce compliance with this chapter.
