Fla. Stat. § 112.151: Group hospitalization insurance for county officers and employees.

The governing body of each county in the state is authorized to provide and pay out of its available funds all or part of the premiums for hospitalization insurance coverage for the officers or employees of the county and to enter into contracts with insurance companies to provide such insurance.
