Fla. Stat. § 549.04: Association holding race to pay sheriff’s fees.

Every sheriff and deputy sheriff participating in the policing of any racecourse, as provided in this chapter, shall receive the sum of $2 per day during the period in which such races are in progress, which shall be paid by the persons holding the races.
