  1. CHAPTER 633 FIRE PREVENTION AND CONTROL

(1) The State Fire Marshal shall appoint such agents, including agents of the Division of Criminal Investigations, as may be necessary to carry out effectively this chapter, who shall be reimbursed for travel expenses as provided in s. 112.061, in addition to their salary, when traveling or making investigations in the performance of their duties. Such agents, including agents of the Division of Criminal Investigations, shall be at all times under the direction and control of the State Fire Marshal, who shall fix their compensation, and all orders shall be issued in the State Fire Marshal’s name and by her or his authority.

(2) The authority given the State Fire Marshal under this chapter may be exercised by her or his agents, individually or in conjunction with any other state or local official charged with similar responsibilities.
