Fla. Stat. § 683.115: Law Enforcement Memorial Day.

(1) May 15 of each year is hereby designated as “Law Enforcement Memorial Day.”

(2) The Governor may issue annually a proclamation declaring May 15 to be a day of mourning throughout the state.
