Fla. Stat. § 70.80: Construction of ss. 70.001, 70.45, and 70.51.

It is the express declaration of the Legislature that ss. 70.001, 70.45, and 70.51 have separate and distinct bases, objectives, applications, and processes. It is therefore the intent of the Legislature that ss. 70.001, 70.45, and 70.51 are not to be construed in pari materia.
