1 GCA § 1502: Commission Created.

The Permanent Negotiating Commission for the Micronesian Compacts of Free Association is hereby created. The Commission consists of seven (7) permanent members who shall be I Maga=lahen Guahan, or his designee; the Speaker of I Liheslaturan Guahan, or his designee; the Chairman of the legislative standing committee with oversight over Federal affairs, or his designee; the Chairman of the legislative committee with oversight over Micronesian affairs, or his designee; the Minority Leader of I Liheslaturan Guahan, or his designee; and two (2) persons appointed by I Maga=lahen Guahan.

The Commission shall be chaired by a member elected by his or her fellow members. Members shall serve in this capacity without compensation.
