1 GCA § 905: Selection Procedures.

(a) The Governor shall appoint his or her staff members to serve on a committee to review nomination packets to ensure eligibility criteria and disaster or emergency event guidelines have been met.

(b) A review panel of no less than three (3) individuals appointed by the Governor shall convene, within thirty (30) working days upon receipt of the nomination packets, to verify the authenticity and merit of the disaster or emergency event and validate nominations.

(c) Upon verification and validation of a disaster or emergency event and nomination, the Governor may approve the nomination and convey the Award to the recipient in the order and fashion the Governor deems appropriate.
