10 GCA § 122C09: Prescriptive Authority for Physician Assistants.

(a) A physician assistant may be authorized by the Board of Medical Examiners to administer, prescribe, and dispense any licensed drug or class of drugs as a delegated authority of the physician assistant’s Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) with a Guam licensed physician.

(b) To qualify for prescriptive authority, a physician assistant must have all of the following:

(1) a valid Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) certification;

(2) a current Guam Control Substance Registration (CSR) from Department of Public Health and Social Services; and

(3) a Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) approved by the Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Pharmacy.

(c) The physician assistant’s prescriptive authority shall be automatically suspended or revoked for an invalid, suspended, or revoked Guam CSR or federal DEA registration, and may be revoked for any violation of this Act or the Board’s rules and regulations.

(d) Prescriptive Authority shall be renewed at the time of licensure renewal.
