10 GCA § 82A302: Discharge From Voluntary Treatment.

A voluntary patient may seek discharge at any time. Unless properly invoking the provisions of this Act allowing for their retention, the psychiatric treatment facility must release voluntary patients who request to be discharged within forty-eight (48) hours, not including Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.
