15 GCA § 3701: Power of Court to Appoint.

When it appears necessary or convenient, the Superior Court may appoint a guardian for a minor's person and estate or person or estate. The appointment may be made upon the petition of a relative or other person on behalf of the minor, or on the petition of the minor, if fourteen (14) years of age.
