17 GCA § 28709: Same: For Specialist Teachers.

The Educator Corps Council may award Teacher Corps scholarships beyond the four (4) year limitation of § 26707 for individuals to seek graduate training, that may include a masters degree, for teaching specialties that require training beyond a baccalaureate degree. This Section shall apply only to specialist areas that require graduate training as a minimum requirement for certification and shall not be used for as a means for existing teachers to meet promotional requirements. The scholarships awarded under this Section shall be based on the recruitment needs of the Guam Department of Education/Guam Community College and shall be limited to a period of time not to exceed two (2) years. The Board may, based on the needs of the Guam Department of Education or the Guam Community College for specialist teachers, authorize part-time scholarships if the prospective scholarship recipient is a teacher with the Guam Department of Education or the Guam Community College.
