21 GCA § 76501: Declaration of Legislative Intent.

The Legislature declares it to be the public policy of Guam to provide leadership in preserving, restoring, and maintaining the historic, architectural, archaeological, and cultural environment of Guam and that therefore it is the purpose of this article to provide that the instrumentalities of Guam administer the historic properties under their control in a spirit of stewardship and trusteeship for future generations and conduct their activities, plans, and programs in a manner consistent with preservation and enhancement of historic properties and sites.
