Iowa Code § 225.12: Voluntary public patient — physician’s or physician assistant’s report.

A physician or a physician assistant who meets the qualifications set forth in the definition of a mental health professional in section 228.1 shall submit a detailed history of the case to an administrative services organization as will be likely to aid in the observation, treatment, and hospital care of the person.
