Iowa Code § 904.306: Conferences.

Quarterly conferences of the superintendents and the district directors of the institutions shall be held with the director for the consideration of all matters relative to the management of the institutions. Full minutes of the meetings shall be preserved in the records of the director. The director may cause papers to be prepared and read at the conferences on appropriate subjects.
