105 ILCS 5/2-3.47

The State Board of Education shall annually submit a budget recommendation to the Governor and General Assembly that contains recommendations for funding for pre-school through grade 12 through Fiscal Year 2026. For Fiscal Year 2027, and annually thereafter, the State Board of Education shall submit a budget recommendation to the Governor and General Assembly that contains recommendations for funding for kindergarten through grade 12.
