110 ILCS 675/20-10

There is hereby created a body politic and corporate which shall be styled the Board of Trustees of Illinois State University (hereinafter called the Board), and which shall operate, manage, control, and maintain Illinois State University in accordance with the rights, powers and duties now or hereafter vested by law in that Board.
